Mohammad Habibi

Dr. Habibi is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Integrated Engineering at the Minnesota State University-Mankato. He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in 1993, and his master’s in Electrical Engineering from Esfahan University of Technology in 2000. He earned his Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2010.  Following his postdoctoral appointments at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he joined the Iron Range Engineering (IRE) Program in August 2011. IRE is a 100% project-based , upper division engineering program located in Virginia-Minnesota.

Teaching Interests:

AC/DC Circuits, Electronics, Digital Logic, Junior and Senior Design, and Advanced topics in Electrical Engineering using Project-based pedagogy

 

Research Interests:

Design Engineering Education, Project-Based Learning, Biophotonic, Optogenetics, Dielectric Spectroscopy and Impedance Tomography, Medical Signal/Image Processing (including Electromyogram Signal Processing),
